I'm not sure what this little fella is, but he was darting around my lemon scented geranium, so I attempted to get a few pics of him, not very successfully, but hopefully someone will be able to ID him for me.

UPDATE: This is a bombylius major, or large bee-fly, kindly ID'd by nickyv32.

Nicky is right! Otherwise known as a Bee Fly. Aren't they gorgeous!!! Not easy flies to catch because of their habit of hovering - you're very lucky if they actually rest on the flower. Beautifully caught!
