The weather outside has been so depressing over the weekend, hasn't stopped raining for 48 hours, and the wind is icy. The camera was itching for an airing, so I had a play around with the first wild anemone I picked from the meadow last week.

Two beautifully crafted images, Carol: with V 1 the bloom, beautifully lit and with the water droplets sparkling away, stands out so well against that black b/g, whilst the different presentation in V 2 is every bit as appealing but in a different way.....the inclusion of the stem and leaf is so artistic........can't decide, so 1/2 vote for each.
Ronnie.

Wow, I'm with Ronnie on this, 2 superb images and I love them both equally. The lighting is excellent and the little drops of water really add to the feel, great work, more please.

Both great images. V1 the best for me. I like the dark background which really makes the purple stand out, also the droplets give it that extra touch.

Composition and colours are superb Carol, but I would have liked more light on the centre, it is very dark with part of it lost in the background.
