I was so lucky that this absolutely incredible Citrus Swallow tail just happened to come and land by me a few days ago, slightly larger than a painted lady it just seemed to land and fly off as soon as I had a couple of pics. What a thing of beauty it turned out to be and I do hope that I have portrayed it correctly that all of you can see in detail. I hope you enjoy the splendour of this superb looking specimen as much as I did being honoured with a short visit. They are too large to land on most flowers and I would think most times they are on the floor as this one was. It was taken with a GN58 manual flash that I used as fill mostly because it seemed to enjoy the shade as it looked to be extracting water maybe from the lake bed.
Good morning to every one and a very special good morning to all the super people who not only voted but took the time to comment on my African Monarch Butterfly, I feel embarrassed and a humble that at this present time, because of circumstances I find it impossible to vote and comment but having said that my thoughts are with you each time I upload an image. What a welcome and so emotional as I read your wonderful comments. The situation is that I did get mail from the BHC and it seems they were surprised that I had not received my passport at this time, they will look into the situation and let me know. The no problem it will take only 14 days in July has long gone but they did hope I was enjoying my stay at the Salvation Army. It’s now been 11 months so I guess I will be spending my xmas here, not a nice thought. But to the rather silly people who think this is a joke please do me a favour and go comment on someone else’s work.
I will try and do more uploads and of course will reply to all your mail, thank you so much for you support and concern.
A very special thank you to Richard & Lavina for your UA’s, what a special honor thank you……………….Very Kind Regards…………………John.
Many Happy returns CarolG
