Dougie they have a gala once a yr where they run trains through the night. the guys are well used to photographers, and are most helpful, and patient. The only special permission i needed was to take the one on the tracks. lesley

An excellent pair of shots. Great low light photography, a lovely sense of movement and speed.

A fine sense of speed, but there is also a mysterious feel to the image, Lesley

Excellent exposure Lesley. From the trains that I have taken, the exposure doesn't need to be as long as you might think to get that wonderful movement. You seem to have nailed it here.

Excellent work, Lesley, I think you need to give us tips, not the other way round! Love both, but the square format and composition of V1 works best for me Wink

Lovely night time shot - not often that this subject is photographed at night - especially to such good effect.
