I know i said no more pier, but had the urge to have a go at a mono with a long exposure of the pier.
Not sure that i think its worked out too well.
Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.lesley
WOW philip thanks for the GEA. lesley
An excellent mono, so many great lines in this. Congrats on the GEA, welll deserved Lesley..........Sandy
Balance in perfect harmony...
Beautiful image. IB
Works very well, Lesley. Carol
Lovely long exposure has given the pier an other worldy feel, ghostly and full of atmsophere, nive work Lesley. Cobgratulations on the GE award.
wonderful detail and tones lesley really suits mono congratulations on the GEA a cracker nice one
Works for me Lesley
nice one Lesley, congrats on the GEa.
Good depth to this and and as Dougie mentions it hasd a very other world feel to it - well processed. Congrats on the GEA.
I like it but IMHO it would work better with a lot less sky. Perhaps letterbox.
Congratulations for the GEA - I like it very much in mono - and agree with the "other world feel"! Wish I'd taken it!
This has worked really well. The chairs and decking are so sharp and that lovely long exposure gives us a lovely surreal b/g.
I think it works very well Lesley - very moody.
Works very well - like the horizon cutting very precisely across - all lines and angles and it works very well in mono
Cool, great style.
Beautiful tones and composition Lesley, really like this one!
worked well Lesley and congrats on your GEC.
Works for me Lesley, congrats on the GEA
Excellent, well done Lesley.
Congrats on the award. I love this one. Just brilliant.
Really like this, particularly the sky
A beautiful shot. The way the pier and horizon converge is perfect. I am just a beginner, so I can only hope that I can produce work of this quality - some day.
Nice image Lesley, works well.....
A superb conversion-- excellent composition1
Very nice lesley congratulation on the award
I think this works extremely well Lesley . The cloud movement continues the horizontal theme of the piers planking and the overall toning is excellent. Many congrats on the GEA.
HArd lines and enclosed in softness, such a good contrast, Lesley. The pier appears as a knife cutting through the soft banks of mist or fog. Brilliant mono.
Many congrats for the GEA! I think Malc has put it perfectly, the hard lines and the softness! Perfect perspective, perfect composition. Brilliant
Superb comp and it works so well in mono. Congrats on the GEA, well deserved.
Works well for me, Lesley - a super capture, and very cleverly positioned to line up the top of the rails at the pier's end with the horizon so perfectly
Congrats on the GEA, too, well done!
Really fab Lesley, I love the textures and tones - A big Hi to you. Ann
My congrat's too Lesley - wonderful symmetry!

Such a simple composition that says so much.
One for the wall Lesley, superb.

Superbly focussed Lesley, it goes on for miles, great image.
This is wonderful. and you said you could not do mono conversions!
Congrats on the GEA
Cracking shot, love the depth and symmetry.
I did comment before, but doesn't appear to be on here!?!?
An outstanding shot Lesley, works very well in mono and symmetrically perfect!
