well considering theres a world heritage site on my doorstep i never go there for pics lol
This is the worlds first ironbridge spanning 30 metres, built by Abraham Darby III it took 2 years to build and was opened in 1781.
unfortunately they have been putting in some strengthening bits over the last couple of months, and got railings on the bridge which are a pain.
will have to go back again.

This must be one of the most photographed sites of all. I live locally, and know the area well. Here you have given us something very different from the usual viewpoint, and with the lovely light it is something special.

One of my favourite locations - I used to live nearby, and most summers went to get shots like this. I can understand your frustration with the strengthening work - I call it the Alan on holiday rule. "Every building or structure I want to photograph will have scaffolding on it somewhere, usually on the most photogenic aspect." Grin

A beautiful capture, excellent composition with good detail and colour (dare I mention the bright reflective star under the bridge, would have cloned it) one of the best have seen from this location Smile Geoff.

See!!!! I knew there must be a shot here and you have got one. I love the composition. It is very strong indeed with the lovely reflections. The sky is nice, but there is a sunrise / sunset shot with dramatic sky here too. You'll just have to go back several times until you get THE shot. But in the meantime, this is wonderful.
