To dive or not to dive - part 308/08/2008 - 1:49 PM
I did warn you in my first blog that my entries might be a bit haphazard… It's been a little while, so I thought it was time for another diving update:
Well, we did dive that Sunday but we didn't get down to 18m as the buoy marking the point had somehow come loose from its mooring and floated off! Something else to add to the list of "things conspiring against us"… :-( However, we did manage it the week afterwards! I have to admit that I found it quite scary - the visibility was pants (we were in almost complete darkness) and it seemed to take a very long time. Having said that, now I've done it once, I'm sure the next time will be much easier (fingers crossed anyway)…
This means that we have finally finished the practical part of the course! All I've got to do now is pass the theory test… Haven't "revised" for anything since uni. and my friend has already passed it (she's more organized than I am!) and only got 3 wrong - what an act to have to follow. Wish me luck please!
I shall have to pull my finger out and get it sorted though so we can get some entries in our log book before Oct. as we've booked a diving holiday… We're going to the Maldives - can't believe it, I'm really excited!!! ))
