Here's another attempt at a 'Dragan' technique.
This is my friend Simon Stacey, also known as BGB, who very kindly went without a shave and modelled for me.
Tried a more subtle approach this time.
All advice welcome..

Thanks to Darkside who commented, sorry , once uploaded noticed a flaw...
Excellent portrait and effect. He`ll be pleased with this.
Excellent portrait,nicely done.
Thanks Andrew, I hope so...
cracking portrait Cathy.
I tried going to the link but for some reason it would'nt load..
like the effect very much, ask him not to shave for a few months and you could get a long beard shot as well !!! Very nice portrait. Sue
Good portrait/technique, Works for me Cathy!
Good portrait shot.
My thought is that a small crop of the left to off set the face a little to one side may give it more impact.
Thanks Geoff, I ummed and arhed about a right crop, tried it,wasn't sure, so left it..
This is a real cracker Cathy. Fantastic detail and lighting. Love the technique and it has worked extremely well on this.
Really good detail and lighting. The eyes have it though!
Just printed it off for him....hope he's pleased with it!
I was looking at this when silly things happened on the site.!
A great portrait, you seem to be getting on well with the technique. -Any secrets for sharing?
My earlier comment was lost due to the crash!...
I still like it a lot. And I've found some tutorials, so I might have to try it. What I need now is a wrinkly subject...
Where's that mirror?
Fun day all round. Great shot, well finished. He'll love it.
This is really good, this more subtle approach lends a sort of ultra-realism to the image. It's complimented by a great, relaxed pose and good lighting.
If I'm going to make one small criticism, I think the eyes look a little milky compare to everything else, and could maybe do with the slightest increase in contrast. Very small point, though.
Great shot & love the lighting & eye detail.
A super portrait..
Great portrait and well produced.
Excellent portrait,Great detail and lighting
Superb portrait and a wonderful treatment.
Aha, the Big GAy Bear!!! He looks quite tame Cathy lol, very good work again.
Clicked here earlier, looks like the site problems meant it didn't register.
Love the shot, sensitively handled, more subtle than Dragan in my opinion. BGB should be happy.
EXCELLENT portrait, Cathy!
Simply Stunning!! Nice one Cathy.
another great portrait
I love this effect, Cathy - good model too
he might have a girls name but this is definatley not a girl ! what a sexy bloke. the first time i coomented it was lost so i asked for more which i see you have done. I like this one as he has great eye contact. great portraits a style of your own
