I know too, not that easy, to take a flower shot without light burn, Jeff.
Best way is while no sunlight is shinning on.
The different colours suits it well.

Yes, even in the bright sun, it doesn't look burned out. Nice job. Good to see spring, since the blooms are finished in California. Brown hills now until the winter rainy season.
