Glass is a marvellous medium for us who like to point cameras at things. A little brain-teaser here, to sort out the 'real' from the reflected.
I waited ages for someone to go up the escalator on the right, but it appeared to be completely ignored.![]()
Taken at Gare du Lyon, Paris.
I tried this in b&w, as I have been in the 'colourless corner' recently, but it just didn't look right. Mods are enabled if anyone wants to have a go...
Many thanks for all the recent interest and comments.

Sums up the confusion and apparent haphazard nature of railway stations (especially the French ![]()

Also one of my favorite subjects to shoot - reflections in glass and layers of reality. Reminds me I have some of these on my hard drive. Too little time.
Cold here this AM - right at 0C - unbelievable.
Anne
I love the scrambled detail!
Potential users of the up escalator were probably taking a leisurely lunch ![]()

How many layers of reflection and reality are there in this I wonder? All those people who have no idea that they are close to each other. Wonderfully disorientating.
I see scope for a square crop from the lower centre, to lose some context and concentrate on the mystery.
Moira
You found a good one here Malc, I really like the guy eating a sandwich while being pulled along on a wheeled suitcase.
Dougie
It certainly does have you wondering what is real and what is reflected. One to ponder over for quite a few minutes!
I think the guy in the foreground has spotted you spotting him! ![]()

I like this plenty to look at, some times I feel B&W does not work, a lot depends on the subject matter! I have not been successful with lots of glass and reflections, as in this shot, so would have left it colour! not sure if it would make a difference if shot in B&W first? worth bearing in mind, in the mean time yes I like it, putting one on for you silly Sunday lol. regards Leon.![]()

I like Ann Chown's take-- Where's Wally
Am thinking the loading images problem is either with epz itself or something with the cables from Europe to USA-- which would have been disturbed by Hurricane Sandy---
one cannot sit forever and wait for a picture that , in some cases, never loads---duh!Thanks for looking in!
J
how wonderful !!!
You just keep on wanting to explore this wonderful image
Quote: It's fascinating Malc - like a sort of Where's Wally of reflections. ![]()
Ann
Had to google that reference, Ann...but how appropriate it was...must find out more...
Malc
Very clever idea, looks good and it's well presented.

Great title for this wonderful mishmash of reflection and colour Malc. And what a hell of a Jig Saw Puzzle it would make ![]()

You've conveyed the business of the place so well with people dashing in all directions. I like the colours and reflections
A fine view of the different layers of existence in glass... What is illusion, mirror image or reality?
Very well chosen POV.
