Le Marais, Paris.
I was intrigued by the florist, announcing floral arrangements for weddings and receptions.
The illustration drawn on the shop window, appropriately enough, features a bride and groom.
So far, so good.
However...what does a large flat-fish (looks like a Dover sole?) have to do with flowers, weddings and brides & grooms?
I seek enlightment.

Have a continued Silly Sunday, and may all your souffles rise.Grin

A fascinating window of mixed metaphors, I think. Given the shop name the fish is far from appropriate. Mind you, I don't think it is a flatfish, Malc, but I shan't carp about it too much: there is nothing worse than identifying elements of the natural world to have me floundering. Further comment on that score from me would be misplaiced Wink But I promise not to get crabby about it if you don't tell a sole . . . .

Wishing you a wonderfully silly Sunday!
Regards
Bill

P.S.: Don't you just love the little character running away? He's got as far as the drainpipe Smile

Golly, Bill's gone to town with his remarks today, Malc........clever stuff.
I do like these more intimate shots that give a flavour (and in this case probably the smells) of a locale.......they say as much as the bigger picture so often.
Ronnie.

A very good image for the Silly Sunday theme! Grin Well spotted.
It could have been a fish mongers shop before the florist moved in? IB

Either
a) they also do the catering for receptions and that's the fish course,
or
b) someone had a lot of yellow and red paint left over after they had finished the happy couple.
Either way it's a lovely image of this very quirky area.

I think Dougie and Nathan have found the answer to your conundrum or maybe the bride will look like an old trout in 10 years time if you are of a more cynical persuasion!Wink
