Beautiful image Alan, lovely light over the swans head and body showing its plummage and great colour of the beak. The bg makes it.

Super detail, excellent use of chiaroscuro. The swan appears to be pining.

I'm seeing muscular, powerful, as well as graceful. Also something of the night. Matthew Bourne's male swans come to mind... Just that flash of red is so potent.

A compliment Alan, Bill rarely uses that fine Italian word.

Gorgeous! I'm a bit envious actually! I was trying to get a swan this morning but they were having none of it!

Very nicely composed Alan. The snaking neck is wonderful and the high contrast light gives impact here.

Very well exposed Alan, a difficult shot to make in bright light and that contrast.

Very nicely composed, Alan with very artistic use of the curves and plumage texture, refreshingly different bird photography.
