The same Anemone as yesterday - it had opened a bit somewhat by the time I returned to it this morning.
it was a good job I took a few pics of it this morning though - I foolishly left it sitting on the window sill and despite having plenty of water the heat was just too much. By the time I spotted it this afternoon it had keeled over.
Ah well - there seems to be plenty in the garden and I'll certainly be planting more next year ![]()
Again some Lucisart Whyeth applied to the flower - I still like that plugin!

Hi Alison,
Could you explain who/what Lucisart Whyeth is?
(For those of us who have a fear of all things PS!.)
Tim
Thanks folks - the flower has recovered a bit but looks a tad rough - I'll be cutting another from the garden next time methinks!
Tim - this is Lucisart - well this is the horribly expensive version of Lucis now available. Once upon a time they did a much smaller and simpler version which includes a setting called Whyeth. In their wisdom this smaller plugin was discontinued but I'm one of the fortunate ones that bought it before they did that. Nowadays a good option is Topaz Adjust which is an excellent bit of kit and a reasonable price.
The Whyeth setting gives the details a bit, or a lot, of oomph - depending on how heavy handed I am
- I'll pop the original pic up shortly so you can see the difference - with a bit of background tweaking too as I omitted to bounce any light back on the right hand side.
Of course the effects can be done without the help of plugins but hey - I like the plugins ![]()
Actually I use Paint Shop Pro - have done for donkeys years so find it far quicker to work with ![]()
Fantastic clarity, stunning colour and detail......
Paul.
