Having been out most of today, I've not had a chance to play with my paper bag
However I have hopefully got some new props coming next week so it will probably reappear soon.
Meanwhile some Scabious I picked up on the way home yesterday - given the usual Lucisart Whyeth treatment - I still love it as some will have noticed!

I like the photo but i think all the white in the background adsorbs all the light coming from the flower. It takes your your eyes of the flowers.
Maybe edit the photo and change the background to a different color.
Stunning, i love lucis and it works beautifully against the bright white background.
Thank you everyone!
Bitte - I've just uploaded the original shot - well cropped, resized, sharpened and borders added. Not the most exciting methinks?
Rohan - I tend to use white first for all my flower shots - it's permanently set up in the studio so easy just to drag the background around the room to suit the light. I must admit I tend not to use coloured backgrounds - I really should experiment more. I've a black and tan background hanging as well - if I can I'll try them tomorrow and see how they come out.

Just what I was thinking

Thank you again everyone....
Certainly V2 leaves much to be desired with the spread of light on the background. It's been rather dull today and I do prefer to stick to natural light today and no matter what angle I positioned the background, the gradation seemed to be unavoidable. I'd put all my lights away for now as I hope to have a mad Westie charging about in the morning and didn't fancy getting them out again. Maybe I will try to come up with something that sits in the middle - watch this space ![]()
