I found a scruffy bit of paper Sunday evening on which was written Woody inside camera painting picture. I almost threw it away but decided that I should see what I could produce.
I remembered too that it was inspired by the camera imps created by Terry Pratchett - I really should re-read his books ![]()
So whilst doing the MNC I thought I'd rummage in a few boxes, throw a few bits together and see what happens.

Welcome Back Woody!
Great photo Al! I love Discworld books and this just made me laugh! Without even seeing your 'blurb' I thought of the camera imps!
You now have no excuse to read every Discworld book, best read in order!

Thanks everyone - glad you appreciate my efforts
It was admittedly rather thrown together - a proper plant stand for the pot would be a good idea for a start
I was going to have another wooden man in front reclining on a sofa in front of the camera but could I find another small man? Nope - they were all downstairs for some reason.
Now I think about it a classic Victorian style portrait setup might work - chair, aspidistra, heavy curtain behind - I reckon I could manage that.
He's got lots of jars in his paint bucket Roy - just not enough room to put them anywhere and I also must try to find his pallette - which is doubtless buried in one of the wooden man accessory boxes.
I'll give it another go and do a better job with the texture next time............ Arrietty ![]()
Great Iconograph.
'Good Mornink' said Otto. 'Do not be movink please, you are making a good pattern of light and shade.'
He kicked out the legs of the tripod, peered into the iconograph and raised a salamander in its cage.
'Lookink this vay please - '

WHOOMPH
' - oh shee-yut!'
Dust floated to the floor. In the midst of it a twist of black ribbon floating down. There was a moment of shocked silence. Then Vimes said 'What the hell happened just then?'
'Too much flash I think.' said William
Thanks again everyone
I have another one that might be uploaded tomorrow - one more planned after that with any luck (though I need to sort out some suitable props for that one).
Thanks for the snippet Scaramanga - I must settle down with some Pratchett again once I've finished the Cussler I'm currently reading.....
Cussler is it about a submarine? The Truth which I have just finished is brilliant.

I'm reading Night Probe at the moment - one of the Dirk Pitt series. I shall keep an eye out for The Truth and give it a go.
Another winner Alison, i've thoroughly enjoyed viewing this series
