A little still life - the three books I bought yesterday, a couple more, some cheap inedible cherries and a little pewter jug.

I started off using natural light but it wasn't quite bright enough so brought in one of the big lights again with the barn doors fitted.

A bit of Topaz Adjust, a fairly subtle grunge layer added and curves/levels tweaking was also involved.

I do like these slate tiles Smile

wonderful stuff...V2 is probably how I would process something like this..if I ever found the imaginative inspiration....but the warmth of V1 is more suited to the general feel of age I think...

Thanks everyone - I'm going to have another root through the tiles next time I'm in the garage and see what the others are like. I can see me ending up having the lot upstairs Smile
