Certainly softer and I'll have to use it again.
The background is a bit of a disaster but it's a dress which isn't mine so I can't chop it up - I'll try again another day.
Fiddled with as per usual - mainly histogram adjustments for a change which worked quite nicely.

Thanks everyone
Maybe it's a bit dark - I'm still working on my laptop at home and brighten it up to what I usually find an unacceptable level so that it's ok on every other monitor! One day I'll sort the laptop monitor out ![]()
As for twisted mind - I like that
scary but elegant describes me to a tee on a good day - the rest of the time it's scary and shabby ![]()
Interesting collection of 'grot', but sure makes for a great still-life.....I reckon 1/2 way between V1 & V2 might be about right....nice one !
I haven't got a 'velvety' dress for my 'stills', have to use an old blanket, then disguised behind 'X' number of textures......
Mmmmmm.....I wonder if a self-portrait of myself would come under the 'still-life' category..
...now there's a thought ???????
I quite like the background, a fine image.
Darren.
Thanks again everyone and thanks to Pete for the HC ![]()
Apologies for the delay returning - I've just got back from a weekend away and will catch up ASAP!
Having been to a couple of car boots this morning I now have more pewter, copper and glass goodies for my still life pics ![]()
Sorry Keith - you have to be dead to qualify as a still life ![]()
