Probably the last drop pic for the time being - unless I find something wonderful amongst all the shots I've taken over the last three or four days.
I've now cleared it all away - for now - I'm drifting a bit with the photos - it's too nippy to do any artistic self portraits and I'm too tight to put the heating on unless I really have to
I'll think of something......

I love the colours in this one, fantastic work!
This is amazingly sharp where it needs to be
this is simply superb
i have uploaded two now of this type of shot but non are nearly as good
do you have any suggestions
Oh you little rotter James - I've just rambled on and on regarding your latest upload and by the time I clicked submit it had gone! I'll come back shortly and see if I can remember what I said!
Thanks everyone though - having failed somewhat at achieving the more conventional water drop shots, I'm rather enjoying going for the less conventional (or is that just a cop-out?). At f2.8 on that lens though DOF is rather limited so I'm amazed I've managed to produce so many with at least something in focus!
Wonderful capture !
It looks like glass..............wonderful
Thanks again everyone
It was a bit noisy in places and I reluctantly used a bit of noise reduction on it - I think that helped the glassy look although the paper I used to reflect is a holographic deep red and produces a lovely effect.
smashing well done
Once again thank you all and thanks to you Robin for your award - very much appreciated
beautiful colours here Al....do you use a trigger for the flash or just guess on the timing, tell us how you do these so we can 'ave a go!
I just guess Terry - the drops will run consistently from a pierced bag so it doesn't take long to learn just when to go click!
As for colour - I've a pack of metallic/holographic card in various colours which I lean against the bag or hold over the drop area - this red works particularly well.
