First attempt at taking proper doggy pics and thanks to Vicky for the loan of her two adorable pooches ![]()
The light was dreadful - far too dark really but hey, it gave me an excuse to try Lucisart Whyeth out to see what happened. I used the noise removal first this time and then the Lucis followed by resizing and sharpening.
I have hope for future attempts .......

A Great image.
My German Shepherd wouldn't sit still for long enough to produce something like this!
Bren.
awesome portraits, i was looking out for these today, brilliant, they look outstanding.
Thank you everyone! Admittedly there aren't many from this batch worth showing but I'll definitely be trying again - I need to sort out some extra lighting first.
I think ferrets are easier - lovely dogs and they had been taken out for a run first so after the initial excitement of being in a different house they settled down quite well. I might investigate the possibility of little velcro shoes for the Russell though - that might slow her down a bit - I've quite a few blurry doggy running away type shots ![]()
I thoroughly enjoyed myself though and will be doing more without a doubt.
I've been waiting for this & it was well worth it.
This is fantastic Alison.
Love how you have them both looking in the same direction at the same time.
Wonderful lighting which shows both of their coats up really well considering the difference in colour.
I hope you take more.
Hilary
A terrific canine portrait, it looks like you've found yourself two willing models here
