It's been a while since I did any flowery pics so I played for a bit this afternoon with some old bottles I recently bought at a car boot and some random flowers from the garden. It's so nice not having to rely on the flower man in town for supplies - probably just as well as he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth!

Thanks folks - and thank you Marilyn for your Award - very much appreciated Smile

The bottles were a real find at the car-boot a few weeks ago - 6 for a quid - can't complain. I now want a knackered old pewter candlestick but sadly am not going to be at any car-boots for a long time now - unless I can be arsed to trudge up to the race-course on Sunday morning and have my doubts that I'll find anything useful there.

Nice one.
There used to be an old landfill site along the road where the glass bottle makers used to dump their seconds.
Unfortunately it is now a housing estate

Thanks again Smile The bottles were an excellent find - especially at that price Smile

Apparently there are some stashed away in the barn at my parents place which were found in the garden - one day I'll have another rummage and see if I can find them.

Sadly I've never found anything as interesting in my own garden - before the houses were built it was just farmland.

This is excellent! The delicacy of it is most appealing.

This has such understated elegance about it, that it just had to have my pink diamond this week.
