Another session that didn't turn out as planned. It wasn't until I'd got changed back into my comfortable clothes and looked at the pics that I realised I'd made a wrong choice of underwear. Something more Bridget Jones like might be appropriate to cover my backside
Hey ho - the front view wasn't too bad though....... a bit more light on the right hand would be good but again I didn't realise that until I looked at the images. I'll add that I was perched on top of a small table to enable me to get a decent angle with the camera so just took loads precariously balanced and am not inclined to try again this evening ![]()
It's all useful experience though......

Thanks everyone ![]()
The knickers were fine this way round - the rear view left an awful lot to be desired - and not in a good way
Happily, for some strange reason, the pins always look ok - they don't look like that in the mirror!
Blimey Adrian - you're venturing down here? Take it easy ![]()
Alison, wow, light is exellent, and i really like the way your hands add to to and frame the skirt. The pin sharp shoes are great with the focus slowely drifting of up the legs.
Stuart
Now that's one hell of a CLASSY shot !......super quality, & love the 'desaturated' colours allied to the textured b/g....& all so beautifully crisp....1st class piece of work !!
10/10 for the pic !......12/10 for the legs !!
I could never look this good in a ballet tu-tu ????.![]()

This is so unusual and tastefully done that I'm not at all surprised at all the positive response. I really like the toning of the legs and also the way the body flares up to the top fringe like a delicate flower.
You certainly take self portraits to a whole other level.
Thanks again everyone and thank you Joline
I'm about to try a white version - if I can find the white gloves
I only have tacky gold shoes in the same style as those on here - they'll do I think - a tacky gold handbag would be natty accessory too - I'll add that to my shopping list!
Thanks Stewart
The white attempt today didn't really work too well- there are one or two that might be ok but the black definitely comes out better.
The only ballet shoes I have are black pointe shoes - maybe I'll see if I can track down some cheap standard satin ones (they sadly don't come cheap and my dancing en pointe days are very long gone!)
very creative image, really like it
the colouring works very nicely

So do I, I`m always browsing around charity shops looking for props, could be anything from woman`s shoes to hand bags, christ knows what other customers and shop assistants are thinking, not that I care ![]()
Very good is this.
Once again I come back to this shot...........
And I see my comment appears to have disappeared (or did I not post it here?).
I LOVE this picture and although I have studied it quite a bit, I can't work out why it hits the mark so well with me.
The only thing that would make it better is being able to see it large hanging on the wall.
Unfortunately, as I am no longer an e2 member I can't give you my award.
Roy
Ah - I presume you didn't comment before Roy - all the others are still there - or maybe it's just personal
Glad you, and everyone else, like/s it though. I plan to sort out some prints later today so might try a modest sized version and see how it comes out. Meanwhile I've got a gas mask to clean up a bit and try out ![]()
This is probably one of my favourite images on the site, stunning in every way.
John
