One of my attempts last night and now I look at it again it's not too bad really. I'd like a more realistic skull so thought will have to be put into that one day ...............

I know you like to play with your skull but those oranges and lemons
would make a lovely still on their own.
Ah indeed I do like my skull(s) but yes, you're right Kate - these bits of fruit would look fine by themselves.
I do wish it didn't take so long for them to shrivel though - I wonder if there's a way to speed up the process? Oh and that half orange in the middle of the plate is the other half of the top left!
Like the arrangement but yes, that skull is just too plasticky looking on it's own.....the teeth are the worst, they don't look separate to the other bones.
Yep - you're dead right Keith - another replica skull has just been ordered - digits crossed it's better than the rest of my collection!
About £500 gets you a real one.

only £500 for a hit? You're hired - let me just choose which skull I want and I'll send you their address...........
Takes me about three months to have it cleaned - and it works better in summer when the flies are plentiful. Obviously I charge less if there's any pre-mortem damage.

Okey doke - I'll work on a list of candidates and send it over ASAP!

I know of someone, an archaeologist, who often has boxes of bones in his car boot awaiting reinterment but sadly it seems he won't let me borrow them
Thanks again everyone
The new skull has arrived and much as I'd like to inspect it I won't as it's well packed up and I have to carry it home this evening.
