I started off with one arrangement in mind but ended up with something totally different - which is pretty standard for me 
I'm not sure about the velvet I stood everything on- maybe I need to add suitable 'table' fabric to my shopping list.
As you can see I found quite a nice glass - good old charity shops - and two old postcards (50p each)

Thanks everyone Do you think I could find the one little book I wanted to use though? Oh no of course I couldn't - not a clue where it's gone!
I'll see if I can read the postcards over the weekend and shall post the contents here
