I thought I'd amuse myself with a snail this evening - he/she was fairly obliging but totally refused the nice fresh spring of parsley I offered........

Never has a snail looked this good except maybe on a plate with garlic and chilli!

Yes Ken - anything is fair game around here as long as I can get it indoors and under some controlled lighting
I think he/she can stay in the garden though - I've never tried eating snails and don't plan to start!
Oh just two eyes though apparently snails can only distinguish light and dark - the lower tentacles are for smell and touch....
Now if it wasn't for the fact that you've used a macro lens this could almost be you in dressing-up mode again. (without the legs ).
I've never seen a snail mask - I shall have to investigate
