"Oi" said Woody as Brian walked away. "How am I supposed to impress the women when you won't put up a fight?"
"S*d this" said Brian, "I'm off to the pub for a pint"
Brilliant, as always Alison! Made me laugh.
Booooooiiiiingggg .... Time for Bed said Zebedee.
Super shot ... very funny, and well done too.
an absolute cracker!
This is so random - I love it!
what on earth made you think of a snail tamer.....some imagination you have, brilliant : ))
Great bit of work.
Thank you everyone and thank you Peter for the HC - that's fair made my day
I must admit the idea came when reading the comments on my picture yesterday of the two snails - I was thinking of snail wrangling when my brain suddenly went ping and here you are. I do wish you could control the blighters though - it totally refused to stay in place
He was rewarded with a nice big lupin leaf for his efforts which I photographed him eating
Fantastic, love it, really made me laugh!! Congrats on your HC. really well done! Not only can Brian talk but he can lift pints too!! LOL. Lyns x
Alison, you have such a dry sense of humour!
Another successful shot in the series. My daughter thinks Woody is great too. His fan-club keeps growing. My kids now gather round to see his latest antics.
you are so creative Alison
i love it
HA HA HA
i like it.. TAME THAT SNAIL ITS WILD!
You crack me up, this is brilliant. written with a great big smile.
Excellent shot and great fun too
Wonderful. Simpler than most of your Woody pics but very, very effective.
Brill Keep that snail away from my veggies Woodie
Magic in a Roundabout sort of way! Love it.
Highly original and very good. Excellent work.
lol. I don't blame Brian going off to the pub.
If i hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it
Good one Alison
Thank you again everyone
This may be rather more simple than my usual pics but boy was it a pain to do! Woody had to be stuck down to the 'floor' as the weight of the chair kept tipping him over - as it was the chair kept falling off his hand
Metering was tricky and I must admit that it didn't come out quite as hoped for but I can live with that.
And of course Brian just wouldn't stand still - it was a case of taking as many pictures as quickly as possible while he was relatively near Woody - as you can see he got sick of the whole silly game and wandered off. He was the only one with any sense last night
Brill caption! )Great idea! Jane
A real breath of fresh air.....uniqueness, humour and wildlife all in one.
Thanks again You're all about as daft as I am which is something of a relief!
"Mad as a bucket of slugs..." or snails in this case :o)
Thank you so much Matt
I've a follow-up in mind - whether it is doable I don't know but I might have a bash tonight.
brilliant. like the reflective type shadows you have in the image too. well composed.
This is tooooo funny! still laughing...congrats on the HC Alison!
ROFLMAO! Too funny! Love it!
The things you create with your wooden men are just so original, imaginative and funny but above all so skillfully executed.
Oh brill!! I take it the snail totally ignore him too!
Very nice image. Good shot!
Thank you again everyone - I must get a bigger sheet of plastic so that I can play with the reflections some more.
Ah yes Angela - the snail just didn't want to know which was probably just as well as I would rather not have a slimed Woody I'm very nice though and still rewarded him with a big lupin leaf which went down a treat!
Fantastic! And congrats on your HC.. Lovely presentation as always.
