Still playing with the veggies etc. I can't quite get the light as good as I'd like but that's because the daylight is too dull by the evening so it's back to the studio light. However I will persevere.......

Think this a better arrangement than yesterday's.(
something to do with the Dragon fruit on green "mug")
Still life are very difficult to get right and you are pretty good at it.
Can't advice about light.

Particularly like this arrangement, be interested to know what studio lights you use as I find that having to rely on daylight is very restrictive so am considering some sets of 2 x softboxes I've seen on e-bay for under 100 ............ superb image, especially love the background texture you've used for this.

Thanks folks Smile

Yep - I guess the arrangement is a little more logical than my last upload but I simply had to include the Dragon Fruit Smile Now I've got the toms they can provide the blast of colour Smile

Lightwise just the big softbox generally serves the purpose but certainly I prefer controlled daylight if it's available - which it isn't by the time I get to taking pics after work.

@Jenni - I use Elemental lights - a pair of 250w lights with an assortment of add-ons - for this it was a large softbox - well octobox really - plus I have a couple of beauty dishes which are very handy, also barn doors, snoot, shoot through brollies and one reflector brolly. Between those and stuff like white foamboard for reflecting light, black foamboard for stopping light and a white shower curtain for added diffusion - I've more or less got everything covered Smile

I was going to be flippant and say..."I'm hungry now"...but this is just too good and deserves better than my jokey remarks. What do I like about it? The superb arrangement, looks completely natural and not at all contrived. Great light, great colour, muted tones, love the texture. God help us when you get the light as "good as I'd like". Smile
