I know this will be greeted with a good deal of "huh?" and similar comments but I can't help it - I like this - no idea why but I do. And that'll do for me!

Um - indeed it's not a pic that will be universally liked Smile I've another that I might upload tomorrow that might be more appreciated Smile

Intriguing is good though!

As for an irate bird - well I can get a bit irritated sometimes Adrian - bummer that you didn't get to BOC - spring now I guess?

Just about time to grind to a halt - I've been charging batteries all afternoon - got a small wedding do to photograph tomorrow and I'm praying I do a good job! Fortunately it really is small so I should be able to handle it!

It looks like one of those dragonflies emerging from the shell of the others body. Different for sure but its good and everyone will probably see something different...........Sandy

Now looking at in natural light instead of dim artificial, all is revealed. The "huh" has gone. This is really rather brilliant... and I think I'll give it an award.
Enjoy the wedding Smile

Yes intriguing is a good description, I see a coccoon rather than dragonflies....

Thanks again everyone - interesting ideas on what's going on in this pic - apart from me trying not to fall off the stool Smile

Thank you too Arrietty for your award - very much appreciated!

It's a bit dull and windy out there so not idea conditions for wedding pics but hopefully the rain will hold off otherwise it'll be interesting!

Now that's different !!......great idea, & beautifully created, with a slightly 'offbeat' aura to it, which I rather like !!

The only very minor niggle is with the overall 'balance' of the shot ??.....I'd like to see the subject matter (you & the stool) a bit
higher up in the frame ?....then I think it would be a corker !!!!

Love your creativity & fresh ideas in this !!!!....just can't see how you fired the shutter, & got out of this awkward pose ????

Thanks again everyone!

Getting up was easy enough happily - I'm quite practised in moving about in that tube stuff Smile

The remote was in my left hand so I had to take my weight on the right and wobble a lot!

I see what you mean Keith about positioning but sorry - I like it where it is but might experiment with an alternative crop and see what happens - who knows, you might even be right!
