I took the day off today and went to visit Tyntesfield House nr Bristol.

Oh what a nice place it is too - not all polished and pristine, lots of cobwebs and damp patches and rooms full of 'stuff' that is in the process of being sorted. I could have come home with van loads of goodies for pics but oddly enough they wouldn't let me.

An excellent day out and highly recommended Smile

Interesting image with dark against light.
The blinds were obviously a gift in obtaining this capture.
Can imagine you wanting all those goodies!!!

Thanks everyone Smile I would so much love to have the place to myself sometime without other visitors in the way and to be able to rearrange items to my hearts content Smile Ah well - I was quite happy with the pics I did take Smile

This room was used by the last occupier up to 2001 which means it indeed had a phone in there and a rather large old tv. There were only three rooms being used in the building by that time and I think there are 47 rooms all told. Eventually most of them will be opened up hopefully.....

There are blinds pulled in most of the rooms - obviously to protect the contents from the light. it does make for some good light though as long as you have a camera that can handle it!
