Another dark and gloomy one tonight - sorry - I just love doing them ![]()
The skull has been living in the garden for a few months - I think it can get another coating of yoghurt and go back outside for a while - plus the lower jaw which I forgot to do. It's making good progress given that it was rather bright plastic and now is duller plastic!
I opted just to use the modelling lights on the strobes tonight - one high up at about 45 degrees - the other far lower and pointing at the end of the violin.
I'll pop up the original so you can see the effect of adding some topaz adjust to bring out the dark bits. I'm hoping that when I look at it again tomorrow I don't spot anything horrible!
I really really want to find a nice old bit of oak tabletop next ........
I'm rather pleased with the result ![]()

The best you have uploaded for a while. i really do love this composition. ...Peter
A rather late thank you everyone - and thank you too to Ann and Pete for your awards - a good way to start the day ![]()
I originally had a brandy glass instead of that pewter jug - too many flipping reflections so that did the job instead. I'd quite like to have had liquid spilling from it but alas I only have two strips of veneer and really didn't want to spoil it!
As for blowing out the candle - thank heavens for remote controls - puff and click continuously and hope that you catch a decent swirl ![]()
