Another view from yesterday's trip to the Ogwen.
There was something very surreal about this huge sheet of ice with its random rocks.
Hope you like it, C&C welcome (it's the best way to learn )
Thanks for looking, Chris
must have been an eeire place to be with all the unusual sounds. You seem to have captured it well though, nice work Chris.
I love the way the rocks form a natural v shape leading the eye inwards very cold tones add to the atmosphere
Looks like you got the best of the weather yesterday
Nice one Chris!
Nice comp and feeling of coldness.
Magnificent. Love this tranquil scene.
Great looking image with nice composition.
Lovely image. Like this even better that yesterday's. And you're right about it being very useful to be able to slide the tripod on the ice without having to check your levels. Done that myself a few times in recent weeks
Thanks all - I think I prefer this one too Sue
Great view point with good lead in.
Nice work Chris.
great winter image Chris.
Love this shot Chris, it looks very cold!
Nice scene - good composition
Fabulous shot Chris, Tony
Wow, thanks all. Wasn't expecting such a positive response
you can almost feel the cold...brrr..
excellent balance between the darker forground and light hitting the hills..
Cracking image! Sorry Taxi!
you have done well here all the parts of the shot are drawing your stare to the center of frame. The light on the hills work so well with the icy blues of the frozen lake
