One from our recent trip to Rome.
I always find city photography a challenge, and especially in a place like Rome where everything has been captured millions of times from every possible angle. Even more difficult in some ways than Rannoch Moor ![]()
Anyway, this was just before a particularly heavy storm (as you can probably tell from the sky) which at least had the advantage of creating some atmosphere!
C&C welcome as ever, many thanks for looking

Great image could maybe have been a touch darker but I like it,John
Surprising lack of people. Well composed with great colour
Chris - this is excellent! Having been here myself and going again in the new year I think you have captured the essence of the magnificent architecture which is so abundant in this city. A glorious shot with great lighting. You must have been up early for this as this square is normally packed.
Lovely work
Andy
Thanks for all your kind comments. I'm undecided between the versions, I love the tones in the colour version but it has a different feel in B&W.
Andy, lucky you to be going back. This was our 3rd visit and there is always something new to discover. Might get round to posting a few more images soon...
