A bold composition that works well. Yes, this says to me that winter is coming to an end. Click.

Well balanced composition, I wouldn't have thought this would work as well as it does. Great shot.

This one was taken just ten minutes before being submitted here, so I am glad my morning was worthwhile!

This has got a lovely feel to it Tim. I really like the criss cross of lines and directions. The layering works well too and its all held together nicely by the large tree. Great colours too.

Terrific image, I like the soft background contrasting with the sharp and bold tree. But if if was mind I'd have to get the clone tool out and remove those distracting branches.

Thanks Matt, Geoff, Chris and Sandy! I really appreciate your comments...

I agree about the distracting branches, but sometimes when a shot turns out like this one I just want to leave it alone...

...as it is I like the contrast between the jagged, wintery branches and the soft colours of an imminent Spring just underneath them!

Regards,

Tim

Stunning! So much interest packed into one small frame. I love the subdued colours.

this is beautiful, but i found the tree a little overwhelming because it is a little too sharp....

if you could create another layer just of the tree and give it a bit of gaussian blur before merging it, i think the overall image would be more balanced.

Still....its a beautiful composition! =)

Your work is so distinctive. Im constantly amazed at the shots you get. Absolutely superb. I'd love to have a tiny fraction of your ability to capture landscapes like these.

Simon, Sze and Tom, I really appreciate your kind words!

Tom, the grass is always greener on the other side, wish I could get those magnificent compositions on your bird shots too!

Regards,

Tim
