Every year my birthday is always in the summer holidays. This usually means that everyone goes away before I can have a party, but this year my friends threw me one on the last day of term, and this sunflower was one of the presents that I got Smile

FINALLY - THE RESULTS!!! (thanks for your patience)

1ST PLACE (Winning a copy of Crazytalk6 donated by Reallusion )

EminemBirdie: We really liked the sense of freedom this image gives. A brilliant composition and we loved the pose of the girl as she jumped into the water. A true capture of that holiday feeling!

JOINT 2ND: (Winning 3months e2 membership)

Kathersmith: This could almost be a postcard, with "Wish You Were Here!" written on it. The composition and colours are fantastic. There is so much to look at and all of it shouts out 'Holiday!'.

AND:

JadeClark: This image made us smile.............a typical British summer! You've composed this image brilliantly and the rain drops add that little extra!

3RD PLACE: (Winning an EPZ camera strap)

Jojojellybean: This is a gorgeous holiday image - the little girl is so sweet. We love the colours and the huge grin she has, and it's lovely to see her dad keeping a close eye on her.

Prizes for 2nd and 3rd donated by EPZ

Here's what the judges thought of the other entries:

Bluefire_Photographer: This is a brilliant way to spend time on holiday - there are so many kites here, no two the same. The sky makes a wonderful background to all the different shapes and colours. You've caught the event beautifully!

KT4698: Bright sunshine and a scene which seems to go on forever! We really like the way you've caught all the palm trees going off into the distance - it's amazing there are no other people in sight!

Tonyarcher: Having time to slow down and watch the sun set - that's what holidays are all about! You've caught this one beautifully, the sun is in just the right place to give some wonderful colours and silhouettes on the horizon.

Joubertjosh: Another wonderful holiday pastime - camping! You've caught your camping trip beautifully. Standing back and showing a lot of space around the tents gives a wonderful feeling of freedom!

PirateGirl: Such a fun image, showing the excitement of starting off on holiday. We really like the broad grin your friend has and the chap in the background doing 'bunny ears' made us laugh!

SuperMacroGirl: Images like this always give wonderful memories of holidays passed - you've captured their silhouettes brilliantly.

K4TIE: A beautiful 'postcard' image. There's a little bit of everything in here - sea, sand, hotels, palm trees, people relaxing and best of all sunshine! You've caught the scene brilliantly, there is so much to see!

Ceri_baxter: A beautiful image, the sunshine yellow really catches the eye. Your lovely write up explained why this meant 'Holidays' to you, well done!

Leedsleeds: What a gorgeous duck - we loved her white collar! The colours really stand out from the grey background.

Xander_H: You've caught this scene brilliantly, with a lovely write up. We can see you had to use flash, but you've still managed to capture all the lovely details on the statue. A wonderful memento of your holiday!

Ciara: An image full of blue sky and crystal clear water - you've captured the sun shine on the river brilliantly.

Beccatb: A wonderful entry, the colours are very bright and cheerful. You've composed it beautifully, with the windmill slightly off to one side - well done!

Well done to everyone - the September competition will be announced really soon!
