This is actually my third portrait, but as i was on the plane all of yesterday to Japan, i couldnt upload portrait 2. (this also explains the time difference, meaning here in japan its now 11:15 am, but in england its 3:15 am.)
I admit this photo is a loose interpretation of the word "portrait", but i thought it would be quite good to use as it is quite original and im sure nobody else would have thought of this.

It's a great idea, & I'm sure you're right about the originality.
It just isn't sharp enough on your thumb. This may be because you were hand-holding the camera, & your arms aren't long enough to get you outside of the minimum focusing distance (probably about 0.5m).
Great original idea.
Hope you like Japan, i'm going in 2 wks, go take some pics of Rainbow Bridge, looks fantastic at night.

Terrific fun. I'll echo Davey's comment, and suggest maybe trying again, maybe getting someone else's thumb to pose and really concentrating on focus. It might lose some of its spontaneous feel but could still be stronger.
