Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale).
Very little opportunity to get out with the camera, weather wise, in recent weekends, this image was taken back in May.
f/7.1, ISO 200, 1/80th sec, 105mm, aperture priority, manual focus, tripod.

A very nice crisp shot, David, the B and W treatment working nicely and set against the graduated b/g. the seed head stands out well.

This is exquisite David and works so very well in mono. Superb macro shot with pin sharp detail and wonderful light and textures. Love the bg gradient, the darkness drawing the eye to the top dandelion seed, looking for all the world like a little ballerina! Love it ....and the title.
