Early light begins to break over Derwentwater in the Lake District.
We had settled on this location after a little calculation the day before as the sun is just a degree or two under its most northerly and first light is between the nearest fells on the right and Blencathra in the distance. Thankfully we weren't let down by the conditions that came.
Running around like a little kid trying to make the most of the light yet trying to maximise the composition was challenging but good fun. Great when it all comes together.
A 0.6 ND grad [hard] and a 0.3 ND grad [soft] balanced things out just right. Taken about 29 minutes before yesterdays upload and when the colour was at its optimum [for me].
Cheers for looking in,
