Lovely shot and worth the wait. If I may make a couple of suggestions
Clone out the horizontal blue stripe below the head.
Tone down the bright green/yellow leaf
Tone down the bright branch beyond the squirrel.

This will keep the eye on the subject you waited so patiently for and stop it wandering to the bright patches

Is there room for you both to take half a dozen paces away from the wall so that you throw it out of focus and remove the severity of the shadow?...john

I prefer yesterday's with the eye contact. One small point, the portion of the bedhead in ths shots is a distraction and I would move around a fraction to exclude it or clone it out. I hope you do not mind the comment....john

Nice light management with these. If you have a image mod program you might want to remove the dust spots.....john
