Part of my 'Within the sound of Bow Bell series'. I spent the morning in the East End of London yesterday. I grew up in the area, and although I haven't lived there for more years than I care to say, I still feel slightly attached to the place.

This is Dennis Sever's House in Folgate Street, Spitalfields E1, one of the many beautiful houses which mainly housed the Huguenot silk weavers in the early 18th century. Its one of those times when I wished I had a Tilt & Shift lens Sad During processing I found it quite difficult to correct the perspective due to the fact that with a building this old, nothing really looks straight but although not perfect, I think it adds to the quirkiness Smile

Thanks as always for stopping by.

A great capture Charlotte, it works perfectly well for me and with a very informative narrative to match.

Nice one Charlotte. Looks pretty good even without the help of a T and S lens.

Actually I was roaming around the Whitechapel area yesterday.

Regards

Looks good to me as well. Lovely texture in the brickwork and a good composition too.

A super image Charlotte and a cracking idea for a series. Walked around this area myself in the past, there are some super old buildings like this one. Looking forward to the series.

I used to live in this area once too - although I didn't know about this house. Nice one.

Wonderful image Charlotte. I too have a fascination with old doorways and facades.
