The West Pier. When I cropped this so that the sides were even, it didn't look balanced so I reverted to going by eye. Another miserable, blustery day in Brighton.

Its a good crop and a really good image and a really good conversion.

Some things don't look right even whern they are. 'Going by eye' is my favoured way. I think this sums up the mood perfectly, Charlotte.

A great shot, Charlotte - and as Nathan says, a ghost like effect, and to me looks to be floating! 
After a warm sunny day here yesterday, it's back to grey weather again today
