All sorts of things happen in the Attic Wink

The book is an old Grimm's Fairytales..circa 1903 that I found at my Mum's.It has a beautiful cover & lots of nice textures in the old pages.

Thanks for dropping by.
Janet xx

He probably has two, but Big Ted looks as if he has only eyeWink

Not that it detracts from a extremely well composed imageSmile
Love the expression on Small Ted's face

What a lovely old book. They don't make 'em like that any more. Hope teddy enjoys it. Smile

Like it Janet - I think the darker setting suits. More depth to the composition in this one.

Beautiful shot. Tried to give the impression that the big bear is looking more down at the book by tilting the head and changing the catchlight, but doesnt really work as envisioned.

Thanks everyone for your votes & comments.
Special thanks to Stuart for your UA & Helen for the GEA,both very much appreciated.

Willie...I tried in vain to get Big Ted to look into the book but he wouldn't have it...he said he knew the story off by heart & didn't need to read it from the book Wink

Helen, the illustrator is Helen Stratton,so not one of the very valuable editions, still, it's value to me is of course priceless !

It's a shame you left those houses on view in the window as they spoil the magic a little for me Jan. A nice little snowy scene with Santa and his sleigh in the sky would be so much better don't you think?

Maybe so,but,Santa flies far too high at this time of year Dave, keeping watch on everyone to see if they are naughty or nice...hmmmmmmmmm Wink
The buildings were better than a blank window though.

I love it Janet, I do agree with Dave re the rooftops. Now this would look good very muted, almost mono, giving it a very different feel. What about a scratched texture on the window, with a menacing face looking in? - or what about a satanic looking doll on the outside looking in.

Cheers Nick,I think the idea of the scratchy texture might work, not sure I wanna go down the 'menacing face/satanic doll route though Wink.
Muted ??? I do hope you aren't trying to get me into the world of mono, you know it's so not my strongest genre Tongue I'll see..........
