Decided to try something completley different as my Yin has Yanged & my Yan has so done a runner Sad

So here ya go,my first real attempt at water splashes, not the best/sharpest I have ever seen so I made it a bit different.
Everything you see on the screen actually making the image was there at the time of shooting,I have only added a couple of textures. The 'bowler hat at the bottom, well,an added bonus when I looked at the images on the computer.
Lit with off camera flash pointing at a sheet of dark pink paper stuck to my kitchen wall with a lump of blu-tac.The water was quite shallow, just covering the very bottom of a glass oven dish.I hung a small plastic bag full of water on one of my wall cupboard handles & popped it with a pin..voila !!..drips !
The trick was the focus bit, took me ages to get anywhere near.
No posh remote triggers just me,watching the drips & triggering the shutter with my remote release Wink

I love the reflections & the shape of the splash.

Thanks for getting this far....this one is a re-load,you were right Ade...too dark even by my standards Wink
Janet xx

Like wise haven't made an attempt at this but would give it a go, as your set up seems simplicity its self.

Wow. love it. Have only tried ripples in a pond. Planned on trying something like this but wasn't sure how.

Fantastic for first attempts.
I know people who have done this kind of thing
and they took hundreds of shots to get something acceptable.
The reflection does look like a hat with a flower on it.
Very well done.

Aint bad Jan

Always think these images look good when shot at eye level to the splash rather than an angle above. Still , guess that means fish tanks and triggers etc !

As its been done to death, how about going arty farty and using it as a base image , slap a bit of light , add two souls , think gravity and erm , all that..

Mods should be slapped x
