This is an odd image! However it's been slowly growing on me after my initial reaction when I took it over a week ago that the intense red light, making the tops of the scree-covered hills at the side of Wastwater, looked so bizarre! The colour from the setting sun appeared out of nowhere and I'm glad I turned around after taking my previous upload and realised, as the colour just got brighter and brighter until it began to fade after a few minutes. That effect happens on Dartmoor from time to time. Usually just as the sun disappears below the horizon. I have a tree shot to upload in similar red light conditions. Lovely landscape shot anyway ![]()
