Fabulous scene and light Baz, a cracker but I feel the water should be a wee bit darker than the top half considering its a reflection, maybe?

Thanks very much all for commenting.

I don't know John, because I stay wary of this when using filters on the sky above lakes, but I didnt use any filters on this to balance the exposure, and this is the full-frame photograph with no cropping. I have done only the usual basic sort of editing and have applied all editing to the whole photograph, so it seems to me that the scene is naturally represented. However, I am prepared & welcome to be enlightened......

Now that I have thought about it Baz, it is likely that the water reflections are brighter than the hills, I was comparing the water with a sky, which is naturally brighter than water reflections but obviously not included here so in fact it doesn't look strange at all now that I am thinking straight....
No matter, it is a fine image Baz.
I really should be a bit more observant before I open my gob,...

Love this one Baz. I am on a trip to the Lakes, Ullswater area, then work down, on or around 18th Nov to catch the Autumn shades, and I hope I can get one as good as this. Chen.
