This was taken just a couple of miles from home.
It's a beautiful spot but I've never come away with anything that does it justice.
It's one of the locations that's feeding my desire to go for some 70-200mm L glass.
Thanks for looking,
An excellent placid image.
Lovely image, large is a must!!!!!!!!
beautiful tones and scene
excellent work, the colour is so rich, really very good picture
the tones and reflections are excellent.
compositionally... interesting that yo've cropped in a lot to loose the tree tops, and the position of the trees, I can see the lure of the semi lit path as a lead line.
one to look at and soak up I think
wonderfully warm image, the light and color is outstanding
Lovely tonal quality, and looks very peaceful too...
Lovely golden tones and reflections. A very nice image.
Ta very much for stopping to look.
Thanks for your observations Ade. It is a crop from an original that has the tree tops and a larger area of water but the real interest is in the centre so I decided to hone in on it.
Have a good (if a little dull) weekend,
Tones and reflections are superb
Beautiful lighting and tones.
Like the backlighting, seems to light up just the right area's, well controlled, very nice.
A beautiful, well composed image. Excellent work.
Love the golden light and the comp works for me.
Agree with Paul about the light - great capture Dave.
This has great appeal.
Thanks very much for you comments and clicks,
glad to be no 30
Ta very much Digicat,
You've captured some good light here. I've been thinking about the 70-200 also.
i know this place real well Dave and it can be damm frustrating as regards light ,youve got a cracker here ,and its got great depth. But the path lit up is the bizz
Thanks Patrick - very belatedly.
You're dead right about catching the light just right down at "The Ponds" Ollie. I've got more than my fair share of duds from there. Went back down again the other day and they were frozen from edge to edge to a depth of about four inches.
