Taken on the way back down the valley after an unsuccessful attempt at a river-with-Scafell Pike-in-distance shot.
Heavy cloud limited the options.

Thank you for having a look,
Dave.

lovely

a charming image. That little bit of light on the hill in the middle distance just adds the right amount of lift to the whole scene.

Hi,
Thanks very much for your comments.
This is one of those pictures that needed a bit of coaxing into being. With localised showers and fast moving clouds my metering was all over the shop. In the end, the only way I could get anything half decent was to shoot separate exposures at different times and sandwich them in PS.
Mike, glad you spotted that as it was the part of the picture that I waited the longest for. It's the top of the Langdale Pikes and in the original they have a nice crisp outline against the sky.
Thank you all for looking,
Dave

A place close to my heart, and you have captured the atmosphere perfectly.

A great landscape, I've tried sandwiching in PS but never had much success. Very impressed with your photo's Dave.

Thanks very much.

Gary, I've had more unsuccessful attempts at it than successful. With landscapes the biggest problem I've found is that there's often a very slight difference in the framing where something's moved, even with a hefty tripod weighted down.

Thanks for checking out my P.F.
