After a pretty good dawn the cloud gathered and the day rapidly became overcast.
I'd eyeballed this spot on the river on my way up to the Craig Goch dam and thought that the flat lighting would suit the subject.
It's amazing how time flies when you're engrossed in finding compositions in the detail.

Ta Pooch, Pete. I did use a polariser but not fully rotated. I've got other shots with it fully rotated and the balance seems ****-eyed to me. Also some without it altogether but some of the detail in the rock is less evident.

cheers Bobsy, I enjoy doing this type of shot more than dramatic vista in quickly changing light. I guess I'm a plodder at heart and flat light gives me the time to suss-out my composition properly.
