Glad you all liked yesterday’s crack at a collaboration Grin

-----

Now then…my mum - sneaky thing that she is - got me a little surprise from the plant nursery I took her to last week. An early birthday present of this Bl. ‘Yellow Bird’. Ain’t it a beaut? Smile

That evening itself I whisked it off to the dining room to photograph it on black. Should’ve angled it slightly differently or bounced a bit of light from the left…’cos that left side of the bud is in shadow. Pity. Never mind…I took more pics the next day…when the further bud was open Smile

My mum got 4 different orchids that day. For herself, my dad, and my bro too. From last Tuesday till today I’ve taken sooo many orchid pics…both in the dining room and where they’re now hanging in the garden. But don’t worry, I won’t bore you senseless with them Grin

Besides, I haven’t looked at the rest and don’t know how many shots are actually keepers!

Andrew

Lol...yeah...this hybrid is weird. They say as the flowers mature they turn yellow. BUT, there seem to be colour variations within this same hybrid anyway. My mum's are yellow...but I prefer mine Grin I'm waiting to see if mine turn yellow at all. Doubt it.
