I know I stole that famous Tweety line for yesterday’s title but I’m sure Warner Bros. won’t come after me Grin

As mentioned yesterday, here are some cloud shots from the same rooftop visit…the clouds being the actual reason I was up there.

The processing may be a bit OTT for some (me included, to some extent) but I wanted to bring out some cloud detail and this was the best I could do. V3 is intentionally OTT – I sorta like the look it ended up with Grin

[I think I might need to do less drastic post-processing from now on for cloud shots...‘cos this afternoon I discovered how utterly amazing and invaluable a polarising filter is! Cooor. I knew what the filter does but have never used one. Oh…my…word…I am NEVER taking cloud shots without a polarising filter anymore. It brings out cloud detail so well and effortlessly Grin ]

For now, here are 4 shots from the rooftop from last week.

V2 is all about the duality in the sky. To the left, all nice and blue with white clouds. To the right, all overcast and grey. Should have done a pano from further left to further right consisting of several shots…but I didn’t have my tripod with me.

V4 is about that cute couple at the railing Smile

Andrew

EDIT: Vs 5 and 6 are for Moira.

Moira, I processed V3 using an art filter called Dramatic Tone in the Olympus RAW software. Dramatic Tone has two versions…colour and BW. I didn’t quite like the colour one but liked the BW.

V5 is Dramatic Tone in colour…and V6 is the original untouched image straight from the cam.

Fascinating clouds, Andrew, particularly V.2. And interesting 'scenery' all around, too. Carol

I like the clouds, and the height you have allowed for them, but I prefer the stuff! Bright and sharp and wide angled.
I'd like to see V3 in colour...

Amazing how much detail you've brought out in your v3 Andrew! We have clouds here today - but just one thick grey blanket. Sad Anyway - a great set of images and well worth the trip to the roof I'd say! Grin

And some great clouds you've captured there too.

V6 is so lame, isn't it? Grin But an ok starting point for fiddling, I guess.

Just noticed that V5 is supposed to be the colour version of V3 but it really doesn't have that much colour!

Great clouds Andrew. I was looking for giraffes and camels in the clouds then I realised you meant in V4. I have a toothache and that is my excuse and I am sticking to it. Cathy

Love 1, 2 & 4, excellent clouds and excellent 'stuff' too. As for 3, 5 & 6 - get those verticals sorted Andrew and they would be fine.

Funny you mentioned verticals, Lynne, 'cos while I don't normally bother with verticals when wide angling, I'm actually gonna learn how to straighten a curved horizon for some of the Sembawang Park cloud shots from yesterday Grin

I might as well learn about verticals too, actually, 'cos I'm sure the cable car tower would look infinitely better up there Smile
