Hey, people...thank you for the response to my drippy drop piccy.

Here are a couple of shots I took on Friday of a dragonfly just sittin' and chillin'...

...kinda like what I'm doing right now Smile

Fantastic shot! I really like the light through the wings and the pov you chose.

A little more space above the wings would have been better imo. But the shot is so dramatic, it works overall very well!

The light on the wings is beautiful, and V2 works really well in mono.

V2 is so unusual, don't think I've ever seen one of these in mono - it adds to the air of cool, effortless poise. Like you again I guess... Wink

Both wonderful in their own ways. Takes some thinking to go for mono for a dragonfly, but you proved it can work perfectly. V1 is, however, just a stunner. Those wings!

Hi Andrew,
Both images are perfection. I am going through a mono phase just now so i have a preference for the 2nd one it's just got that edge for me.

Whoooaaa...now I was quite happy with these 2 dragonfly pics but I did not expect THIS kinda response. Awe. Some.

Thank you so much, all! Sheesh...what lovely comments too.

And Moira, Wink

Mike (oldgreyheron), never any apologies necessary...just good to see you, man Smile

***** For those who expressed a wish to see the colour version of V2, I'm now putting it up as V3. Hope I haven't overprocessed it.

Iím also putting up the untouched straight-from-cam image as V4. It's kinda lame in terms of colour and light - which is why I decided to present it as mono in the first place.

-----

A Smile
