Johanna (brownsilent), thanks for mentioning the cicada thing. We’ve got cicadas doing their singing thing around the place and I would’ve never made the connection. And I just had to name the hopper Edward ‘cos I love some of his (the human's) work

Made me lol.. The expression in V1 is out of this world.. 
Awesome detail in these macros Andrew, you are giving the Big O a run for his money in v1 with a lens that costs a fraction of the price of his!
